What do you think? Hate-r-ation or just good fun?

Max,

Thank you for the mention!

Very glad to see that despite profound political differences (and the shield of blog anonymity), we can still be civil.

With that in mind, you might like this post:

Might make a nice screensaver...

Always glad to give up the blog love. And that is a very interesting post. Perhaps I will link to it in the near future.

And believe it or not, I am more conservative than you might believe. I just can't go with the direction conservative leaders are leading.

Max,

I kinda jumped to my conclusion without having read enough of your site, so I'll take a closer look tomorrow and decipher your views.

Unexpected agreement is always a welcome surprise, so let's see if we can find any.

(No promises though...)

I enjoy good political humor but I'm not sure if this is it. I've noticed that for may conservative sites it's all about name calling and half truths. This idea that President Obama thinks or we think that he's here to solve all of the worlds problems is ridiculous. I resent the implication that is you voted for the person you thought was the best for the job that you drank the kool aid and have lost your own beliefs.

I'd like to see or hear a conversation that isn't about being a "commie" if I believe in Universal health care or a murderer if I believe in a woman's right to choose. I teach my students it's ok to dislike someone's ideas without disliking someone as a person, especially if you don't really know them. My students get it, to bad adults take longer to learn.

What I am looking for from the Conservatives is ideas. And they seem to be very short of them. However, what they lack in ideas, they more than make up for in name-calling and conspiracy theories. I am scratching my head trying to think of a reason any thinking person would continue to be a part of that movement.
