Game On!: Spanx for Men Are Hitting Store Shelves Near You

For the last few weeks I have been watching what I eat and when I can, getting a little exercise in here and there in an effort to trim down a bit and reclaim my health.  But it just did not seem to be happening fast enough for me.  However, now it seems like I’ll be getting a bit of help because Spanx has come out with Spanx for Men.  And you know how well Spanx have worked for the sisters.

That’s right.  All you brothers walking around with a little extra around the waist can now look all brand new.  Just pick up you a pair of Spanx for Men, squeeze your behind into them, and the illusion is complete.  I know I’ll be picking up one or two.  What about you?  And you can thank me later.

Endangered and Missing Animals: Will the Tea Party Movement Follow the PUMA PACs into Obscurity?

Hey, whatever happened to the whole PUMA PAC movement?  I had all but forgotten the PUMAs, People United Means Action or Party Unity My Ass, whoever you wish to believe, but as I was cleaning out my inbox this morning, I came across some information about the PUMAs that someone had forwarded to me some time ago.

A Good Father, a Good Man, and a Good Writer: Taking Time to Define Myself

I can’t seem to sleep tonight.  I can’t sleep.  I can’t sleep.  I just can’t sleep.

And I wasn’t able to sleep last night.  Or the night before.  Or the night before.

But that’s not so unusual;  I have written of my lifelong bouts with insomnia before.  But this particular night of sleeplessness, as was the previous nights, seemed so much different.

The Rise and Fall of Reason on the Right: How Charlie Crist Went from Presidential Contender to Party Pariah

My voter’s registration card identifies my party affiliation as “No Party Affiliation”;  however, I do lean Democratic.  However, in the 2006 Florida gubernatorial election, I supported Republican Charlie Crist over his Democratic opponent, Jim Davis.

What is the proper expression of fear for a man? (No, I did not scream, and that snake was awfully big)

Okay, I know that spring is in full swing, and summer is just around the corner;  I just had my first snake spotting of the year.  Since I have been authoring this blog, several times I have related stories of the snake problem we have around our home [See here, here, and here].  We live in a semi-rural area and have a pond in the backyard.  Plus, we have an abundance of insects which brings the frogs around the porch to dine, which, in turn, brings the snakes.

I Hate It when that Happens!: Just a Few Things that Really Get My Goat

I’m a mild-mannered kind of guy.  In fact, I take great pride in my aplomb, my reserve.  Not a lot things get to me and cause me to blow my usual cool.  But then again, there are a few little things that simply get my goat, they cause me to grit my teeth and clench my fist and make an audible growling sound.

And I hardly complain, but when I do, everyone seems to think I’m just acting like an old grouch or something.  But everyone has their limits.  But anyway, these are a few little things that come readily to mind that simply grind my gears:
